A backed up toilet caused sewage contaminated water to accumulate under the raised floor of a communications/computer operations room.  Water was extracted and a disinfectant was sprayed by an inhouse facility worker.  Environmental Services Group Carolinas (Pure Solutions) was called to test for bacterial and mold growth. Pre-testing showed extremely high levels of bacterial counts (too numerous to count) in underfloor lab results and moderate levels of mold in room. Sanitization protocols including dehumidfying, ozonation, RCI,and ionization were incorporated over a 48 hour period.  Post sampling showed no detectable growth of either bacteria or mold.  Room was cleared for occupancy.
